How to book a tour to India?

The process of booking a trip to India & beyond with Indus Bound is friendly and hassle-free

We factor in your preferences, style of travel, and expectations for the trip while ensuring the same private specialist work with you, from planning stage till the end of your tour. The steps involved are:

Step 01

As soon as we receive your inquiry, one of our travel specialists who will be assigned as your private consultant will start working on a customized travel experience for you. We will get back to you with a detailed itinerary and a special quote with all the necessary information.


We would work with you for any revisions or modifications you may need on your itinerary, costs or elements of the trip.

Step 02

As a next step, as and when you accept our proposal and share your go-ahead on the trip, we will first start booking the hotels for your stay. Simultaneously, we would also book and issue the flight tickets/train tickets/safaris (if applicable). Kindly note that we will need scanned copies of your passports in case of booking flights, train, or safaris.


Please note that, as per our policy, we do not accept any payments/deposits until all booking & services for your holiday are confirmed at our end.

Step 03

As and when all the arrangements like accommodation (including flight tickets, train tickets, or safaris - if applicable) are booked and confirmed at our end, we will then have our 'FINAL PACK', containing the final Itinerary and booking status for your ready reference. 


We do this to ensure that there are NO unpleasant surprise changes of hotels, elements, etc. from our end.

Step 04

Once you review the final booking status and give us your final ahead, we will then share our 20% advance deposit Invoice for the payment. The 80% balance is payable 45 days before you arrive in India.


The 20% advance deposit which would be paid to us now, comes with our 100% refund policy in case of any cancelations made 60 days before your arrival date. In terms of the cancellation of internal flight tickets booked by us, there might be cancelation fees implied by the respective airline. This would be notified to you in such cases.

Step 05

While sending you the final deposit invoice (80% of the tour cost), which is payable 45 days before your arrival date, we re-confirm with you, with your final go-ahead and, after your confirmation, we then finally release payments/vouchers to the hotels and vendors.


Before your arrival, your specialist will share the important contact details of the airport representative, driver, tour supervisor and local offices, etc. with all necessary information.
