Explore Delhi on a Luxury trip with a private local guide
India’s capital and cultural centre is a sprawling metropolis of old and new. Old Delhi filled with Hidden streets and alleys, whilst New Delhi boasts grand European style boulevards and magnificent landmarks.
Culturally rich, chaotic and completely absorbing, Delhi is a contrasting city of old meets new; modern day shopping malls and grand colonial monuments stand along side ancient temples, tombs and mosques. A microcosm of the whole sub-continent, a few days in this lively city will only just scratch the surface.
For historic sites you can’t miss Shah Jahn’s Red Fort, Jama Masjid Mosque and Humayun's Tomb, whilst Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi’s main street, gives a fascinating insight into an historic way of life. The peaceful Lodi Gardens provide some respite from the chaos and the museums and galleries will enlighten and captivate. A visit to India’s cultural heart is a truly rewarding experience.

Top places to visit in Delhi

Humayun's Tomb
Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is more than just a mausoleum; it's a mesmerising monument whispered into existence by love. This architectural marvel, the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, holds the final resting place of Mughal Emperor Humayun. It was also the first large-scale structure in Delhi to use red sandstone.

Old Delhi (Chandni Chowk Market)
In our present mindset, Chandni Chowk is known for its markets and bazaars. Four hundred years ago in Mughal India, Chandni Chowk was an aristocratic urban city with grand havelis, water canals, and gorgeous wide boulevards flanked by trees. Discover these hidden havelis, and stories of people who once lived here over a cup of tea. Take a Rickshaw Ride here to explore.

Lotus Temple
The Lotus Temple stands as an outstanding testament to spiritual architecture's beauty and power. When one approaches, its striking lotus shape emerges from the surrounding greenery. Its pure white marble shines under sunlight - truly an astounding work of art that effortlessly marries nature with spirituality into one breathtaking masterpiece.

Qutab Minar
Step into history and gaze upon Delhi’s iconic Qutub Minar. This UNESCO World Heritage Site isn't just a monument; it's a journey through time. Standing at 72.5 meters (237.8 feet), this masterpiece is the tallest masonry tower in India. The monument, constructed from red and buff sandstone in the 12th century, has withstood the test of time.

Jama Mosque
Step into an architectural marvel as you enter Jama Masjid, an iconic mosque that showcases the grandeur and opulence of Mughal India. This breathtaking structure, among India's largest in terms of size, will enchant with its intricate design and beautiful aesthetics - its towering minarets, intricately carved walls and marble domes.

Red Fort
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Red Fort (or Lal Qila), Delhi's crown jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage site. A symbol of power and beauty, the Red Fort was the heart of Shahjahanabad (present-day Old Delhi), the bustling new capital built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
